Debbie Swanson, founder of Advancement Momentum.


  • 30+ years in Nonprofit Sector

  • 23 years as a Fundraising Professional

  • Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE)

  • Multiple roles in Nonprofits, from administrative assistant to executive director

  • Builds advancement functions in nonprofits from "ground up," including marketing, communications, public relations and fundraising - all related to advancing the cause of any organization.

  • Volunteers for Southern Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce (Program Committee Chair), Colorado College, and Commission on Aging (PPACG)


I founded Advancement Momentum in 2020 to better prepare nonprofits for sustainable fundraising success. I consult with newer nonprofits who are new to fundraising and smaller nonprofits who feel their fundraising is not performing as expected. I also call myself a “practitioner,” one who will do elements of fundraising for many nonprofits.
